Getting Involved

LWLW relies on volunteers in order to operate, and we appreciate all of the time and energy given over the last few years. There are many ways to get involved with LWLW. So far about 80 volunteers from across Ware have been part of the team. It’s great fun, and a wonderful way of getting to know other people in our community.

Whether you can bake cakes for the cafe events, help washing cars or tidying up the community, or whether you can help to run events for kids or older people, we’d love to hear from you.

Full training is provided. If you would like to get involved with LWLW please contact any of the committee (there’s someone from almost every Church in Ware), or use the form below. We welcome volunteers for setup, part of the day, or pack-down, or any combination please:

Child and Vulnerable Person Safeguarding Policy

All volunteers with LWLW need to be DBS-checked (formerly known as CRB), and need to work according to our Safeguarding Policy for your own protection. Full details are given at our regular training events. If you are not DBS-checked, and if you have not attended our training please understand that we will have to ask you not to work on some of our activities.
